How Our Service Works

Requested services are provided by Good Shepherd Caregivers who match clients with a volunteer available during the requested time. Here’s how it works!

Transportation

Volunteers provide transportation to and from appointments. At times they may wait with the clients until it is time to take them home.

Sometimes they may drop them off then leave to do an errand and return to pick them up.

At times a volunteer may take a round trip request but other times they may only sign up for the drop off or pick up leg of the trip. This may happen when appointments are in excess of two or more hours which may require a split trip to be set up which then requires two drivers.

There is no charge for volunteer transportation services.
